Flowers in the Meadow
Dogs Available for Adoption
Forest:

Our second dog under foster at Brendan's Meadows is Forest, a 13 year old Cattle Dog Mix who
is a little crooked from old age, quite grey around the muzzle but full of love and affection and a
keen ear for the doorbell.

Forest's former owners lost their home to foreclosure and could not even afford the surrender
fee at the local shelter. We took him without any surrender fee and since he had not been to the
vet in many years we also took care of all of his medical bills. Thanks to a flurry of support from
all of our friends, his bills have been paid in full and he is ready for adoption.

We were told that he was in good health and that he could live a few more years but we chose
not to explore anything too much as he seems happy and well adjusted.

He likes to sleep in our basement and is a good watchdog. Being old, he's surprisingly active
but does rest most of the day. He gets along well with other dogs including Meadow, our 3 year
old dominant shepherd. He can hold his own but submits.

He's very cute and everyone that meets him thinks that he's a charmer. We have decided that If
no one ever wants him, that he has a home until the day that he passes. He doesn't get the love
that he deserves because we can tell he deserves much more.

We think that Forest would be wonderful dog for a senior or someone that lives in an apartment.
He's very well house trained and would make a faithful companion.
Forest is oddly enough an anagram for Foster
